"Originally released in 2011 on the Tour de Garde label, Departure Chandelier’s demo recording, “The Black Crest of Death, the Gold Wreath of War,” was recorded in 2010, a year after “Antichirst Rise To Power,” the band’s recently released debut full-length completed in 2009. With slightly heavier production than the album—an intentional act by the band—this demo nevertheless achieves the same atmosphere, one defined by the inherent discord between the visceral body of the songs and the ornate melodies reflected in the poignant interplay of guitars and keyboards, in which one hears the influence of O.T.A.L. and Strid. Musically and conceptually, Departure Chandelier explore the dichotomous relationship connecting unbridled freedom and the concomitant lust for power with tyranny and despotism. “The Genius of France between Liberty and Death,” the late-18th century painting by Regnault, serves as the cover art and the entry point into the release. France appears depicted as an angel, poised, with arms outstretched between the enlightened figure of Liberty and the shrouded voyeur of Death – all three looming along the bloody path to the guillotine of the French Revolution. Internalized in Departure Chandelier’s music is the tension between these contradictory states, and the recognition of the sinister need for opposing forces, held in precarious equipoise, but always pulled to the dark and imbalanced side of the scales. The shadow of the Marquis de Sade—a counterpoint to the Emperor Napoleon—looms over Departure Chandelier’s demo. The superimposition of Sade and Napoleon—both from noble families, both participated in the revolution, and both perished in state ordered incarceration—the dialectic exploration of tyranny and freedom, of libertine sadism—is at the heart of Departure Chandelier’s “Napoleonic War Black Metal.” Usurping the waning power of the divine, clutched in the hands of man, Sade, untethered by moral dogma, indulged his boundless destruction of morality. As his writings turned criminal, Sade drew the ire of Napoleon, who ordered his arrest. The aristocrat-philosopher as prisoner resisted justice until his demise. And yet, whether sequestered behind the stone walls of the Bastille or condemned to Charenton Asylum, de Sade’s corruption still bloomed; loyal to his philosophy, his beliefs remained unaltered. “The Black Crest of Death, the Gold Wreath of War” forms an essential piece of the Departure Chandelier discography, and, as such, is made widely available again with this reissue.
Picture LP version will be exclusive to Record Boy Japan.

Revisando la página del amarillo encontré esta reedición. La raja que este disco este disponible
NWN will soon reissue the debut album from Finnish old school doom metal legends Minotauri. The self titled album was originally released in 2004 by the Italian cult label Black Widow, and has been sold out and hard to find for many years. During their short career which lasted between 1995 to 2006, they managed to produce unique heavy doom metal, mixing NWOBHM, Pentagram/Bedemon, Celtic Frost-riffing with real Metal guitar leads (in the vein of Sarcofagus from Finland). Minotauri played a handful of shows; only in Finland and mostly w/ Reverend Bizarre & Spiritus Mortis. The Minotauri mastermind Ari “Arska” was known for many projects (including NWN alumni Morningstar, Perkele, Heathen Hoof, Ironbird) and is still producing music.

POISON "Into the abyss - Resurrected" [CD]
POISON's infernal cult is alive!! Just when you thought that it was all said and done with FOAD's monster-work "Hoelle und vernichtung" (a colossal boxset including the band's complete discography), the wizard of darkness and evil Uli Hildenbrand unearthed from his rotting vaults a lost & found mastertape of "Into the abyss" transfered directly from the studio reels back in 1987, unlike all the previously existing re-issues that were all taken from the 1st vinyl pressing. This version is the most pristine and faithful to the original studio recordings you can think of, sounding farly better than any other version around. Pure infernal armageddon from one of the most ancient pioneering Black/Death Metal hellhounds of the mittel-European scene of the 80's. Originally recorded in 1986, released on tape in 1987 and then 6 years later on vinyl/LP by Median Creations, "Into the abyss" is the only real studio recording of this Teutonic blasphemic horde and hands down their most powerful production, considering that all the previous demos were rough DIY recordings made in their practice space. What you will find on this masterpiece is pummeling and barbaric death/thrash metal with plenty of early black metal elements from their earlier works. The progress this band had made in less then a year of their previous recording is remarkable, but at the same time, when looking at each demo in chronological order, you see a steady progression in their sound from recording to recording, so seeing the band improve this much should not really be a shocker. "Into the abyss" is essential for anyone even remotely into brutal, vicious 80’s death/thrash, as well as old school black metal and the mid-late 80’s proto-death metal sound. CD in jewel case with 8 page booklet including photos and liner notes (by Uli Hildenbrand).
Creo que varios estábamos esperando magna obra. salute

Nader Sadek In The Flesh
Gatefold sleeve, Limited clear vinyl
“In the Flesh” is the brainchild of Egyptian-born, New York-based conceptual artist Nader Sadek. Known for his impressively twisted sculptures, masks, and installations used for example by bands such as MAYHEM and SUNN O))), Sadek is now venturing into the realm of recorded music- including songwriting credits on this album!
The band NADER SADEK emerges out of a collaboration between Sadek and some of extreme music’s most talented artists with its core made up out of songwriter/vocalist Steve Tucker (ex-MORBID ANGEL), CRYPTOPSY drummer Flo Mounier and Norwegian composer/guitarist Rune Eriksen (AVA INFERI, ex-MAYHEM). A host of guest-appearances lends additional weight to the musical impact of “In the Flesh” by leading artists such as Attila Csihar (MAYHEM), Travis Ryan (CATTLE DECAPITATION), Tony Norman (MONSTROSITY), Descructhor (MORBID ANGEL), and Nick McMaster (KRALLICE). “In the Flesh” is firmly based on a technically masterfully executed unique style of Death Metal with a pitch black twist that creates a multi-cultural symphonic abyss where melody and corrosion meet.
As a work conceptual art “In the Flesh” is best explained like this:
NADER SADEK invite you on a journey to the depths of the earth, where substances of a repulsive nature dwell. Beneath the earth’s crust, over millions of years creatures have disintegrated and decayed until taking on ghastly new life as petroleum. Like a return of the undead, petroleum and its derivates have wrought cross-cultural conflict, environmental pollution, and economic distress. With a visual and aural assault, Sadek’s new work “In The Flesh” re-interprets petroleum’s sinister insinuation into our everyday lives. Nine songs and a series of original drawings video works explore several aspects of the commodified resource we find ourselves fatally dependent on.
“In the Flesh” exploits the sonic links between death metal and gasoline-dependent heavy machinery such as automobile and airplane engines. These links shaped the process of musical composition itself: The album opener, “Petrophilia”, kicks in with a sound evoking an engine starting up. Another song, “Of This Flesh (novus deus)”, follows the sonic structure of a car shifting gears. While continuing to link musical composition to mechanical transformations, other songs depart from engine-based references. The outro to the album, “Nigredo in Necromance” which is already accompanied by a video, dwells on an individual’s recognition that he must die in order to reunite with his deceased lover. The song riffs on the life-in-death of an oil-drenched society, as the lovers’ reunite in their decomposition and rebirth as petroleum. This theme also drives the track “Mechanic Idolatry”, which channels the uncanny thrust of Sadek’s recent artistic output, as live human beings provide the fuel for machines transforming themselves into flesh.
